Social Tennis

Most of the adult social tennis played at the Club takes place during the various club sessions, when sets are organised using a pegboard system. Doubles is played and members can just come along on their own and be sure of getting a game.

There are sessions for all the membership categories a number of which cater for more than one section, thus allowing players of varying standards to play together. Members are always welcome to arrange their own sets, either singles or doubles, outside these club sessions

There are opportunities all year round for competitive tennis for adults and juniors of all ages and standards, with internal tournaments and external matches against other clubs. The Club enters adult teams in both the Surrey and Dorking & Leatherhead Leagues, and also has a summer programme of friendly matches. Junior teams are entered in the summer Aegon age-group Leagues.

Playing Times

General Playing Times for all Adult and Junior members There is a considerable amount of time when not all the courts are in use for club sessions, coaching or matches and we encourage members of all sections to come and use the courts when they are free (see below). Please note that at such times you will need to arrange for someone to play with. Match details can be found in the diary in the clubhouse.

Children under the age of 10 will need to be supervised by a parent. Parents who wish to play tennis with their children on the main courts need to be playing members of the Club. Parents who only wish to play with their children on the Mini-tennis court may do so by becoming a Social member. Floodlight tokens for personal use are available at a cost of £2.50 each, which gives 30 minutes of light.
