Our social tennis sessions are the heartbeat of the club. Open to all members regardless of ability, they offer a relaxed way to enjoy the game, meet fellow players, and stay active throughout the week. Sessions run on weekday evenings and weekend mornings with organised mix-ins so you always have someone to play with.
Competition
For those who love the thrill of competitive play, Banstead Downs offers a full calendar of internal tournaments and box leagues throughout the year. From singles ladders to mixed doubles championships, there are events to suit every standard and schedule. Test yourself against fellow members and track your progress all season long.
Junior Tennis
Our junior programme is designed to inspire the next generation of players. From Mini Tennis for the youngest beginners through to performance squads for aspiring competitors, we provide age-appropriate coaching, match play, and team opportunities in a fun, supportive environment. Junior members are a vital part of our club community.
Teams
Banstead Downs fields multiple teams across the Surrey and local league structures, competing in men's, ladies', mixed, and veteran categories. Representing the club is a fantastic way to sharpen your match play, build camaraderie with teammates, and experience the buzz of inter-club competition. New team members are always welcome.

Stringing
We offer a convenient in‑house stringing service for all members. If your racket needs restringing, simply contact one of our coaches and we’ll arrange everything for you. We can advise on string types and tensions if you’re unsure what you need, and we’ll make sure your racket is ready to go as quickly as possible.
